Another Spinning project Finished.
100grams Merino Silk blend from Ashfords.
The colourway came out quite muted i feel.
I have been spinning over Winter 2026. I had a kilo of corriedale roving that i had bought at Ashfords while i was over in New Zealand years ago.
I decided it was time to work on it and spin and then dye it.
These are results of my new to me craft.
I used a crockpot and acid dyes and i am extremely pleased with the colours
I used pink with a very diluted yellow, 3 different shades of turquoise , blue and teal. Then straight turquoise on the last one.
I spun and dyed these to use in a handwoven lap rug that i am planning on starting soon.
Next dyeing project will be dyeing an Alpaca Batt that i have just carded. Never done that before.
